The dodo is an extinct flightless bird that was living on the island of Mauritius, which is east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. This on is depicted wearing a fancy jacket and is brought straight out of the film "Alice in Wonderland" to the skin of our customer. The face of our little friend is really stunning! The beautiful contrast between the dark and the light is bringing this bird back to life, especially in the face with the black beak with the precisely placed white highlights on it and all over the other important parts in the face, like the nose or the eye.
An eye on the elbow is something you don’t see every day. The tattoo got designed in an oldchool theme but not without exceptions. For instance the eye it self is not really old-school, nor is the frame. But overall it fits to the rest of the arm. Since it‘s not a coloured tattoo, it has to shine threw its shading and contrast. The eye it self is balanced in shading, but what aren’t are the flowers, the empty space in them lets them pop out in front of the dark leaves surrounding them. Since the flower leaves are not coloured, they make the tattoo fade beautifully into the surrounding skin.
