“The best way to explain it is to do it.”
The dodo is an extinct flightless bird that was living on the island of Mauritius, which is east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. This on is depicted wearing a fancy jacket and is brought straight out of the film "Alice in Wonderland" to the skin of our customer. The face of our little friend is really stunning! The beautiful contrast between the dark and the light is bringing this bird back to life, especially in the face with the black beak with the precisely placed white highlights on it and all over the other important parts in the face, like the nose or the eye.
A swallow bird can mean many things depending on a person’s cultural background. For ancient Greeks, these birds represent their goddess of love, namely, Aphrodite. The Greeks believed that swallows have the ability to bring love and happiness to a person. For the ancient Romans, they associate swallows as the embodiment of lost souls of children who died during childbirth. Lastly, for modern Christians, these birds mean rebirth or new beginnings. No matter the cultural meaning of these birds is, one can conclude that they symbolize a form of hope. This may be the reason why these birds are usually protected in the vast majority of cultures.
Really nice example of an old school tattoo. Nice simple colours and great shading let this swallow stand out from the rest. Cute little tattoo on the shoulder. The lines are well done and have to be for a good minimalistic old school tattoo.

The most modern of all of the sharks is the hammerhead shark. With it's strange positioning of the yes it can look 360 degrees and have binocular vision in front like us humans and also in the back. Our hammerhead is casting his shadow on top of the famous golden ratio, wich stands for perfection in terms of shapes and can be seen in close to anything. Definitely a really artistic modern piece of art!
Spiderwebs are and probably always will be a common motive. They stood for a lot of things in the past and to a certain degree until this day, but nowadays they get tattooed for their delicacy. It's the scary factor mixed with the fineline aesthetic that makes it attractable to so many people. In the net we put a spider portrayed in a realistic fashion with a touch of colour.
One in a while you can spot one of these. If on the streets or on social media a Skull on the hand is always worth a look. Here in the ChaosCrew we had to tattoo one of these but not only in black and gray but with a pretty cool blue light effect behind the holes of the skull. Doing something a bit different is always a nice unique thing to do and even tho the skull on the hand is not the most original tattoo ever created due to the little twist it creates an important personal touch.
Here we set the focus on a single thing, this colourful peony. It's in front of some typical Japanese windbars and surrounded by cherry blossoms. The Japanese Style never disappoint if done by the right artist. The bold lines that get used in this style are always there to support the colours to the maximum and for a reason, because the fade between colours is outstanding in this flower. The contrast between the purple on the leaves that then fades to yellow towards the middle is just a stunning thing to look at.
Tigers are considered sacred and divine creatures in many cultures. According to Hindu mythology, the tiger serves as the vehicle of goddess Durga at the time of battle. Besides their spiritual importance, they also play a significant role in maintaining the biodiversity of an ecosystem. As an apex predator, the tiger sits at the top of the food chain. They have no natural predators, but they remain vulnerable to poaching and human interference.
This arm started as a cover up for something that wasn't looking good anymore and was placed wrong. Meanwhile, the Tattoo got expanded over the whole arm and soon will be continued onto the upper inner arm.
Every art has its few difficulties, and water is one of them. In this Forest scene we see the river taking on a big portion of the area and is the main focus, so seeing someone portray water so realistic like here is a rare sight. Same arm, similar style, colourfull and a completely different outcome! Here we have an angel, dressed in black. The tears and the shading of the wings are both coloured in blue. The coloured shading, instead of the usual gray shading in the this design much more cartoony, this matches with the eyes. The girl is peeking out of some clouds wich makes the tattoo perfect for a gap filler.
An eye on the elbow is something you don't see every day. The tattoo got designed in an oldchool theme but not without exceptions. For instance the eye it self is not really old-school, nor is the frame. But overall it fits to the rest of the arm. Since it's not a coloured tattoo, it has to shine threw its shading and contrast. The eye it self is balanced in shading, but what aren't are the flowers, the empty space in them lets them pop out in front of the dark leaves surrounding them. Since the flower leaves are not coloured, they make the tattoo fade beautifully into the surrounding skin.
In this tattoo, we have managed to incorporate a lot of out customer's wishes into it. Th Compass, the feathers, not only at the end of the arrow but also on the front. The arrow also got a plant climbing around it and of course the 2 coordinates. It's a restless design, tamed by all the symmetry and the geometric shapes that contrast the busy style.
