The dodo is an extinct flightless bird that was living on the island of Mauritius, which is east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. This on is depicted wearing a fancy jacket and is brought straight out of the film "Alice in Wonderland" to the skin of our customer. The face of our little friend is really stunning! The beautiful contrast between the dark and the light is bringing this bird back to life, especially in the face with the black beak with the precisely placed white highlights on it and all over the other important parts in the face, like the nose or the eye.
“When I needed a hand, I found your paws”
Four little splashes of watercolour for four cute paws. The blue and the green work really well together. They got enough contrast so you can tell which feet were in which colour, but at the same time they mix together beautifully when they meet. The paw prints got a shiny surface as if the cat was standing on a glass surface and you look at it from below. Nice idea, the cat probably walked on glass tables a lot. :)
