Spiderwebs are and probably always will be a common motive. They stood for a lot of things in the past and to a certain degree until this day, but nowadays they get tattooed for their delicacy. It's the scary factor mixed with the fineline aesthetic that makes it attractable to so many people. In the net we put a spider portrayed in a realistic fashion with a touch of colour.
One in a while you can spot one of these. If on the streets or on social media a Skull on the hand is always worth a look. Here in the ChaosCrew we had to tattoo one of these but not only in black and gray but with a pretty cool blue light effect behind the holes of the skull. Doing something a bit different is always a nice unique thing to do and even tho the skull on the hand is not the most original tattoo ever created due to the little twist it creates an important personal touch.
Here we set the focus on a single thing, this colourful peony. It's in front of some typical Japanese windbars and surrounded by cherry blossoms. The Japanese Style never disappoint if done by the right artist. The bold lines that get used in this style are always there to support the colours to the maximum and for a reason, because the fade between colours is outstanding in this flower. The contrast between the purple on the leaves that then fades to yellow towards the middle is just a stunning thing to look at.
Same arm, similar style, colourfull and a completely different outcome! Here we have an angel, dressed in black. The tears and the shading of the wings are both coloured in blue. The coloured shading, instead of the usual gray shading in the this design much more cartoony, this matches with the eyes. The girl is peeking out of some clouds wich makes the tattoo perfect for a gap filler.
Summer vibes incoming! Pretty colours, clean lines, Iconic symbols and made with passion! The wave of kanagawa coming out of the surfboard is a cool idea and matches perfectly with the aquarelle aesthetic of the overall tattoo. Bright colours got used also in the flowers, complementary colours I may add. This tattoo is just a nice colourfull piece to enjoy. Great work of our tattoo-artis Luca.
"If I can't even protect my Captain's dream, then whatever ambition I have is nothing but talk!" ~Roronoa Zoro One of the heaviest moments in One-Piece tattooed in colour in a perfect Style, matching the anime. In this picture, with this pose, Roronoa Zoro steals everyone else the show and has earned his place on our customers Skin.
Lynx have characteristic tufts of black hair on the tips of their ears, large, padded paws for walking on snow and long whiskers on the face, everything got portrayed nicely in a nice cute / kawaii neotraditional style. Great use of different gray colours to get a good contrast between the soft shading of the fur and the elaborate patterning of a lynx.
"To me, the ugliest sight in the world is an empty dog dish!" Here we have a very popular comic character that keeps poping up on our customers Tattoo-wishlists, Snoopy! He is a nice candidate for a small, tiny tattoo due to his simple Design. Although going bigger like in this case never disappoints.
Yosemite Sam is a cartoon character in the Looney Tunes short films produced by Warner Bros. We have already done a few of the other characters from the show, but it's been a pleasure to get more of those funny guys inked under our customers skin. Definitely a more obscure picture with his harsh oldtimer, but a welcome one. "Say Your prayers, rabbit.” ~Yosemite Sam
“Take my man, stay away from my horse.” Sick cowgirl money heist tattoo. Old school but with more realistic shading and more detail overall. A few fine lines in between the bold ones to really set things of.
“Scratch a dog, and you’ll find a permanent job.” Another photorealistic dog for our returning customer. It's stunning how much detail you can pack in one tattoo. But here it definitely pays off! All those little hairs makes the fur feel fluffy just from looking at it. If interested in the other dog, check also: Photo realistic dog portrait ( 1 )
“Water is the driving force of all nature.” Here is a nice design where a lot of parts of the nature found together for a beautiful familiy tattoo. Theres water, the driving force of all nature, a flower symbolic of all the flora and the shape of a turtle, symbolic of all the fauna on this planet. Theres nothing more amazing than nature it self.
I rang the fishing helpline today and said, "I'm rubbish at fishing, can you help me?" The guy said, "Can you hold the line?" I said, "No." ;) Well-rounded, funny, awsome tattoo. Smoking fish, but different. This one shines with its already amazing design, placement, colour fading/shading and of course the visually stunning primary colour contrast! It's just an absolute solid tattoo!
"Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good." This one is crazy! A customer once came to us and showed us the bad work of two people that tattooed her, on more or less the same spot ... What you see on the left is someones try to "cover" someone else's design. The panda came first the dog was second, and no, the yellow on the left is not painted on with markers, but was actually already tattooed in an attempt to cover the panda! Finally, our great tattoo-artist Luca Romeo got his hands on it and got rid of the panda, and on top of that, corrected the dogs face into a beautifully adorable one. Our customer was unbelievable happy, to finally have a quality tattoo under her skin!
"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it." A blooming thistle is always a nice candidate for some interesting colour-tattoo, do it in an aquarell Style and you got your self a colourfull, artistic and all around flashy tattoo.
It's an eyecatcher! This tattoo focuses on a big contrast between the black and grey part of th tattoo and the bright red colourfull one. It makes for an interesting visual focal point, and your eye gets instantly drawn to it. The mix between the pomegranate and the heart is not so obvious at first, because they got integrated together in a shape that looks like it could be a real fruit.
Dogs, dogs and more dogs! Lately we do a lot of dog tattoos here in the Chaos Crew. Ranging from pawprints over silhouettes to realistic dog-portraits and everything in between. We are really happy about it, because every tattoo is always unique due to the individual faces and body types the animals have. Also our customers come here with always different ideas on how they want there favorite pet portrayed, so it keeps the motive fresh and is always a bit of a new experience.
This is a centipede. Most of you probably know these as millipedes but there's a major difference! These centipedes have fewer legs and are carnivorous and some of them even got venom! Pretty dangerous little critters.
There he is! Bambi's best friend Thumper. He got tattooed in a more sketchy style but with all the details you would want him to have. He got his Iconic gray fur with some brown parts around the eyes, on the cheeks and his feet. The drawn aesthetic fits perfectly to the colours that got tattooed to look like watercolours.
Here we have a well-known character. The little prince with his fox, sitting next to a flower. Super cute little micro tattoo. The mostly warm colours give this tattoo a cozy atmosphere.
This colourful tattoo is depicting a breathtakingly stunning landscape. You have everything you would want, waterfalls, a huge river and a pretty cherry blossom tree in front of it. The landscape got framed with some wooden/golden elements. But what takes it home are the big cherry blossoms. This tattoo is a unique art piece.
This nordic pattern design got tattooed with blue ink, wich fits perfect with the theme of the tattoo. The use of simple repetitive shapes with little differences in between got used to full effect to create a great looking finished project. It really has this Celtic feel to it.
This definitely meaningless tattoo features some nice solid colour, some good shading on the hands, clear white highlight line and a nice transition in th purple background. Call it "modern Old-school" design.
This old-school inspired tattoo got some pretty nice things to it. The clover is probably the most simple in this tattoo. The real star is the hand with its shading. Luca, the tattoo artist that tattooed this clean piece used a liner to create a shading made out of those small lines, for a very artistic effect.
This tattoo packs a punch! Luffy and his family got featured on this mans upper arm, so to call a half sleeve, almost. The tattoo got made using a lot of shading and colour blending techniques. The colour palette I really matching all the warm tones with only a few cold colours in the piece. Luffy especially got tattooed from a nice above angle, wich you don't see often.
Ravens are symbolic for all kinds of stuff. This one is symbolic as a prime example for the neotraditional art direction seen in tattoos. The white outlines around the raven let it pop out in front of the red moon in the background. The red flowers on the arm have the same saturation as the moon to create an all around cohesive masterpiece. Great work by our tattoo artist Luca Romeo.
Small but gold. This classic looking old-school panther tattoo is a nice reminder of the simple but effective shading techniques and colour choices. You can't go wrong with old school. Bold will hold!
"It's dangerous to go alone! Take this" This is probably the most Iconic thing in Zelda, maybe besides Link's cap. The Triforce is the Power that connects everything and most of the time it get portrayed in goldish yellow. In this tattoo, there's a beautiful mix between bright yellowish gold and almost rusty looking colours that got mixed in the Aquarell aesthetic. The Watercolour effect works beautifully with the sketched lines design of the triangles. Pretty good job for such an iconic ancient piece!
"I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" ~Monkey D. Luffy This "One Piece" flag design is so simple and clean, it's perfect for a tattoo. It doesn't need to be huge, this smaller tattoo, you can almost call it mini tattoo is a great example of that. Nice tiny lines in the straw hat and otherwise thick bold outline of the logo makes it pop. Nice bright colours and deep black for the eyes. Everything works in this tattoo, size, line, colour... perfect Job!
"I must say, I really felt quite distressed at not receiving an invitation." This Disney tattoo is stunning! The dark fairy herself is portrayed in the animated look. The Eyes with her judgy look scream Maleficent. And of course the costume, so iconic. The colorful background is a nice spin on the normally dark presence of the woman and the Aquarell aesthetic looks beautiful!
Super cute tattoo with all the butterflies and the stars sprinkled around in front of the Aquarell rainbow background. It looks like a fantasy dream come true. The scribbled looking stars and the more realistic looking butterflies create a beautiful mix. The tattoo is so pretty and shows how a lot of watercolour brings something unique to the table!
These Asian symbols are placed on the calf and got surrounded by a huge load of watercolours! Very nice colours got picked for this tattoo that work together really well. The Scripting on top of the Aquarell background is well saturated with a dark black, and the fact that behind the symbols is the lightest part of the coloured background helps with the visability. Great tattoo from our artist.
"My life is part humor, part roses, part thorns.” This pretty rose in the new school aesthetic is crazy. The placement is super cool, the bright red on the hand looks striking. The dark background complements the leaves with just the right amount of contrast, so the greenish yellow doesn't look like skin colour from a distance. And the red leaves on top, so pretty. Nice placement for such a stunning new school rose.
You can't go more tattoo classics than a dagger stabbing through a heart, with a banderole around it. Nice bright colours in the tattoo, well saturated greens, yellows and reds make up a good portion of the oldschool colour pallet. They got used here to great effect. The linework is clean and the shading in yellow on the grip is especially nice. Overall, this is an amazing art piece, and an honorable design for such a classic motif.
This dog got beautifully portrayed in this tattoo. The amber brown eyes, the whiskers on the snout and adorable look make this tattoo sooo adorable. It's a well done recreation of a best buddy. It's stunning how much detail you can pack into a tattoo. The fotoreal tattoos always look beautiful if the right person is doing them, and is a honorable reminder of the thing or person you want to capture.
“Don't spend your entire life building a ship, without ever tasting the salt of the ocean.” This oldschool ship got some pretty colours. The frame adds to the piece and makes for a perfect tattoo on the upper arm. The colours are used really effectively to set the scene. Light blue for the pretty ocean. You feel like they are cruising through the Caribbean with the morning sun in pastel red. There is a compass on top and a flower on the bottom of the frame. Both of them got integrated very nicely with patterns around them and some exotic plants, that fit the charm of the piece. Perfect example of a big olds chool tattoo.
This newschool angel-devil is sitting perfectly on the upper arm. The use of purple to show the corrupt side of the person is a nice change, because usually the bad get portrayed in red. But with the purple you can still highlight the lips of the angel with some reddish lipstick. The lips got a pretty sun reflection, which makes them pop. In general due to the fine highlight-lines tattooed in white the tattoo looks really three dimensional. Especially the white line around the arm, that is reaching forward, complements the movement of it. Great custom design from our tattoo artist.
This blue rose with the googly eye inside is well done in a new school design. The fades between the colour in the blue and the green are so well done. These are placed to give the piece some shadows, which always help to make the tattoo richer in contrast. This is the reason the rose looks so "3D", because of the clash of the dark places and the highlights.
“True love is rare, and it's the only thing that gives life real meaning.” Pretty Aquarell tattoo on the forearm of our customer. The watercolors got used to highlight the most important parts of the piece, to give them even more power. The blue for the sea behind the bottle and the anchor and the lovely red in front of the heart shaped part of the anchor. This Aquarell piece looks really cute and the shading gives it the right amount of contrast so the colour in the background still feels like added bonus and don't take away from the actual things itself.
"King Leonidas: Tonight, we dine in Hell." This Spartan helmet and the scripting below screams "war"! The tattoo features mostly black and gray line with only the blood being red, which makes it look similar to a trashpolka tattoo. The script is in a sketched style which fits perfectly to the warrior helmet.
"Look at me! I'm Mr. Meeseeks" This coloured tattoo is made to look like a sticker that is sitting on the customer. Our funny but depressing little friend Mr. Meeseeks got tattooed perfectly. The fine lines that shape the sticker with the white outline looks stunning. For the sticker effect, we put a shadow behind the white, to get the effect of sitting above the skin. Nice tattoo that every fan of the show can look at and smile.
"Eagles don't take flight lessons from chickens." This newschool looking eagle sits perfectly in the hand of our customer. Cool design with the feathers flowing in the air, and some not tattooed skin poking threw in the form of the wind. Cute looking head ad nice colour used in the background.
"There is a world where hopes and dreams can last for all time." This pretty little mermaid is well known for her bright red hair. We all know who Ariel is, it's an Disneys classic. This tattoo is combining black and gray in the back of the mermaid with colourful hair beautifully. The red has different tones some more orange than red, that creates a nice shimmering effect. Pretty looking tattoo all in all.
Lovely Anime tattoo. Chihiro is cuddling with Haku in a beautiful, colorful scene. This makes for a cute tattoo for all studio Ghibli fans. The flowers add to the composition and lets you better feel the moment. Nice simple shading and enough colour to give it the Kawaii look.
The usual happy little kitty got enough and goes crazy! This unusual design features some nice strong colours. But not only the cat, but also the spider net in blue as a background is a welcome change of tone. All in all a nice colourful tattoo with a weird twist.
Trash Polka is always a good style of mixing things that you like that normally don't go together so well. As seen here. Playing card symbols got mixed with roses. Besides the colour of the heart, diamond and the roses they don't have much in common, but this striking Trashpolka Style with a bit of Dots and watercolour added converts it into an amazing sleeve of art on our customers forearm.
Great saturated colours in this well placed newschool-tattoo. It sits snug on the thigh with a bit of hair going through the clean outline of the background. Nice and simple colours, great custom made new school design.. this makes for a sick Tattoo.
"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf." This ocean wave, with its fine line tattoo elements sprinkled throughout makes a great art piece on our clients upper arm.
"Maybe one day we'll find the place where our dreams and reality collide." Great use of colour mixing! This tattoo shows a lot of skill from our tattoo artist, blending together a lot of colours with an Aquarell aesthetic. Our customer was very happy with this newly custom made design on his ankle.
“Isn't it amazing how much stuff we get done the day before vacation?” Aren't we all looking for vacation at these times? The roughly sketched design of this tattoo lets it seem as if it got scribbled directly onto the skin. With a bit of watercolour painted afterwards. Simple but very effective. Nice use of different shading techniques and a few structural differences between the grass and the ground helps the Aquarell aesthetic come to life.
