There are a lot of full sleeve concepts, but seeing a horror full sleeve is not a common sight! It's thrilling looking at all those horrific pictures, some more deep than others, while all have a really scary matching aesthetic. The layout seems chaotic, and that certainly was the plan, but at the same time, every picture got its own dedicated place. Seeing this full sleeve come to life during all those months was a pleasure to watch.
“The best way to explain it is to do it.” The dodo is an extinct flightless bird that was living on the island of Mauritius, which is east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. This on is depicted wearing a fancy jacket and is brought straight out of the film "Alice in Wonderland" to the skin of our customer. The face of our little friend is really stunning! The beautiful contrast between the dark and the light is bringing this bird back to life, especially in the face with the black beak with the precisely placed white highlights on it and all over the other important parts in the face, like the nose or the eye.
The most modern of all of the sharks is the hammerhead shark. With it's strange positioning of the yes it can look 360 degrees and have binocular vision in front like us humans and also in the back. Our hammerhead is casting his shadow on top of the famous golden ratio, wich stands for perfection in terms of shapes and can be seen in close to anything. Definitely a really artistic modern piece of art!
Spiderwebs are and probably always will be a common motive. They stood for a lot of things in the past and to a certain degree until this day, but nowadays they get tattooed for their delicacy. It's the scary factor mixed with the fineline aesthetic that makes it attractable to so many people. In the net we put a spider portrayed in a realistic fashion with a touch of colour.
One in a while you can spot one of these. If on the streets or on social media a Skull on the hand is always worth a look. Here in the ChaosCrew we had to tattoo one of these but not only in black and gray but with a pretty cool blue light effect behind the holes of the skull. Doing something a bit different is always a nice unique thing to do and even tho the skull on the hand is not the most original tattoo ever created due to the little twist it creates an important personal touch.
Here we set the focus on a single thing, this colourful peony. It's in front of some typical Japanese windbars and surrounded by cherry blossoms. The Japanese Style never disappoint if done by the right artist. The bold lines that get used in this style are always there to support the colours to the maximum and for a reason, because the fade between colours is outstanding in this flower. The contrast between the purple on the leaves that then fades to yellow towards the middle is just a stunning thing to look at.
Tigers are considered sacred and divine creatures in many cultures. According to Hindu mythology, the tiger serves as the vehicle of goddess Durga at the time of battle. Besides their spiritual importance, they also play a significant role in maintaining the biodiversity of an ecosystem. As an apex predator, the tiger sits at the top of the food chain. They have no natural predators, but they remain vulnerable to poaching and human interference. This arm started as a cover up for something that wasn't looking good anymore and was placed wrong. Meanwhile, the Tattoo got expanded over the whole arm and soon will be continued onto the upper inner arm.
Every art has its few difficulties, and water is one of them. In this Forest scene we see the river taking on a big portion of the area and is the main focus, so seeing someone portray water so realistic like here is a rare sight. Thumbs up to Luca, our specialist for realism / photorealistic tattoos.
A sloth holding on tho a few balloons isn't something you would call normal, but on the skin you can unfold your ideas how ever you want and you will be guaranteed that our amazing tattoo-artists create something amazing just for you!
What once started with a single, small coverup was meanwhile expanded into a Full side torso tattoo that is continuing even on the legs and who is to say this is finished yet?
Same arm, similar style, colourfull and a completely different outcome! Here we have an angel, dressed in black. The tears and the shading of the wings are both coloured in blue. The coloured shading, instead of the usual gray shading in the this design much more cartoony, this matches with the eyes. The girl is peeking out of some clouds wich makes the tattoo perfect for a gap filler.
An eye on the elbow is something you don't see every day. The tattoo got designed in an oldchool theme but not without exceptions. For instance the eye it self is not really old-school, nor is the frame. But overall it fits to the rest of the arm. Since it's not a coloured tattoo, it has to shine threw its shading and contrast. The eye it self is balanced in shading, but what aren't are the flowers, the empty space in them lets them pop out in front of the dark leaves surrounding them. Since the flower leaves are not coloured, they make the tattoo fade beautifully into the surrounding skin.
In this tattoo, we have managed to incorporate a lot of out customer's wishes into it. Th Compass, the feathers, not only at the end of the arrow but also on the front. The arrow also got a plant climbing around it and of course the 2 coordinates. It's a restless design, tamed by all the symmetry and the geometric shapes that contrast the busy style.
A continuation of a full bodysuit... Maori, always a unique experience for every customer and a complete pleasure to look at when it's "finished". So much detail, all those delicate and different patterns combined into one big piece of art. The good thing about Maori or Polynesian tattoos is that you can choose things that are important to you and integrate them fittingly into the tattoo.
Flowers are a common thing to be getting tattooed, which isn't bad. They are something organic, that can be shaped, design wise, into a lot of positions to fit perfectly to the spot they get tattooed on. Also, they do have a lot of Symbolism to them. Here we do have a combination of a realistic style but in an abstract composition. The man walking along the lone road with nothing else in mind. This tattoo has a movie poster vibe to it. It looks original, even with the common themes it has.
"They speak their minds, rather you like it or not. Sometimes the truth is ugly, and that’s why not everyone can handle the honesty of Capricorn." Brutally honest is the moto. Now that you know something about the zodiac and the meaning behind this beautiful art piece, let us focus on the black and gray fotorealism tattoo. The style this scene got portrayed in is clear, what isn't is how it was made, because the interesting part here is, that you can not find this picture anywhere else. This is because the mountain in the background was photographed by our customer himself. It's one of the pictures he made, while he was traveling. If our customers want something unique, we will always welcome it!
A man we all know. Jesus Christ got portrayed, calm, knowing and forgiving. This realistic tattoo is capturing him spot on! The shading in the face and neck is stunning, and the white highlights all over this tattoo are the cherry on top of it.
"Thinking hurts my brain." ~Patric Star Simple, clean and funny tattoo. Bold lines will hold and this tattoo will definitely look as good as now, also in 10-20 years!
Here we have three different tattoos, that have a few similarities. On the top left we do have a little scripting "proud" and below it a diamond, it has fine lines and is relatively small in size. Next to it we have a nail in an old school style, similar in size but not in style, due to the thick lines and the deep black that got used to create that striking classic tattoo style. Below both of them we have a tattoo that is a bigger than both of them, but in the lineart / linework style, you can also say fineline style to it, but usually our customers think of something small, if they describe it as fine line art.
“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.” Beautiful, true quote! This tattoo embodies it perfectly. We only have limited time, so if you can fulfill your dreams do it! This tattoo of the world map is a great little reminder for it. Motivating tattoos, are always welcome.
Summer vibes incoming! Pretty colours, clean lines, Iconic symbols and made with passion! The wave of kanagawa coming out of the surfboard is a cool idea and matches perfectly with the aquarelle aesthetic of the overall tattoo. Bright colours got used also in the flowers, complementary colours I may add. This tattoo is just a nice colourfull piece to enjoy. Great work of our tattoo-artis Luca.
Mandalas are always on of the most beloved symbols when we talk about tattoos. This one is a nice example on how you can create a tiny mandala, without a lot of detailed lines. Our Tattoo artist instead used dotwork to make the mandala look complete and detailed, but without too many lines. Ear tattoos are always as reduced as they can be, simply due to the size limitation.
"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." ~Lao Tzu White roses on a dark Skull. This s a mean and pretty looking tattoo at the same time. Yes the skull makes it scary, but all the surrounding plants give the tattoo a pretty and overgrown feeling. Nature will find a way.
"Tarot is just stories on cards." There it is, one of the most funniest and beloved tarot cards in the game, "the fool.". Recently he is becoming more and more popular as a tattoo theme, because you can go to your trusted tattoo-artist and ask him if he can create you an art piece that has a motive that you like, like the fool, but make something new out of it the less! The skeleton that put of its clown mask is a classic, but tattooed in a unique Style and with beautiful shading all over it is a pleasure to see. The script with white ink, surrounded by this great contrasting black is just the icing on the cake.
The Maori are indigenous people that originated in New Zealand. They have a form of body art, known as moko but more commonly referred to as Maori tattooing. The art form was brought to the Maori from Polynesia and is considered highly sacred. Great finished lower leg. This tattoo is featuring patterns used in by Polynesian and Maori tattoos. There's a beautiful variety in the patterns used to create a stunning piece and the mask right ontop of the calf is making the tattoo complete. It's always stunning how Neumie draws these art pieces free hand on the skin!
Ancient statues become more and more relevant in the tattoo industry. Busts and statues most of the time, should look like they are out of stone. You do this by keeping some really strong contrast, to make sure the stone or marble looks like an object that never lets light through it. On the other side ancient artists made the surface of the objects really smooth so therefore a soft shading is required to portray these smooth curves. All in all it's the combination of both that replicates an art object onto the skin of our customers in a way that looks, as if you could touch it.
“If you want to know who you are, you have to look at your real self and acknowledge what you see.” ~Itachi Uchiha this fully black / Blackwork-tattoo captures a dark moment in the world of Naruto. Itachi is siting on a pole in front of the moon. The raven breaks the silhouette of the moon and there for it creates a second focal point in the tattoo. There are also fine lines used to create the hair of Itachi and the feathers of the raven.
"If I can't even protect my Captain's dream, then whatever ambition I have is nothing but talk!" ~Roronoa Zoro One of the heaviest moments in One-Piece tattooed in colour in a perfect Style, matching the anime. In this picture, with this pose, Roronoa Zoro steals everyone else the show and has earned his place on our customers Skin.
Lynx have characteristic tufts of black hair on the tips of their ears, large, padded paws for walking on snow and long whiskers on the face, everything got portrayed nicely in a nice cute / kawaii neotraditional style. Great use of different gray colours to get a good contrast between the soft shading of the fur and the elaborate patterning of a lynx.
“If you don't take risks, you can't create a future.” ~Luffy Here we have another welcome edition to our growing One-Piece / Manga tattoo collection! Luffy / Ruffy is most of the time the focal point in Onepiece inspired tattoos, as seen here, for obvious reasons, he's no doubt the main character in the Story, even though the Spotlight in the show focuses most of the time on events that have nothing to do with him in the beginning. This tattoo captures the nice bright smile our flexible friend got on his face, so I guess he saw some food.
Most of the people probably know the sperm whale out of the old tale of Moby Dick and Captain Ahab, where they always talk about the great white moby dick and to be honest there are white sperm whales around. But let's face it most of them are black or gray, and to be honest they are just as amazing animals. Here we have one in a black work style aesthetic, with japanese waves. This combination of Styles in one tattoo makes always for a new fresh look.
Neumie, our specialist for everything Polynesian always amazes everyone with his fantastic planned out pieces that are almost always drawn directly on the skin. It takes a lot of dedication, sweat and hard work to get to this point. In this case the two masks got designed bevor in close discussion with the customer to have them fit perfectly with the customers vision, after they got placed Neumie began with the pattern around them. Neumie’s Maori-Style tattoos are always a great example for some interesting patterns and great compositions that will flow beautifully with the body structure and the musculature.
White roses have many meanings. They represent youthfulness, innocence, young love, and loyalty and are often used at weddings. This is because they also represent purity, making them a perfect option for marriage. This tattoo is representing all of them above with it's soft and pretty appearance. Although you could say that they could be any-coloured roses, since the design is tattooed in black and gray.
Sometimes science is more art than science.” ~Rick Discovering the universe and all of its secrets is nothing new for us people and the TV-show "Rick and Morty" shows us more or less likely new possibilities and things, that could wait behind our small horizon. Although most of it seems funny and not reasonable no one can prove its non existence.
“The snake stood up for evil in the Garden.” You like dark, detailed and stylised tattoos? Than this one is for you! Snakes are one of the most popular motives used for tattoos, you would think that since they are predators in the wild, most of them would be portrayed angry or aggressive but quite the opposite is the case. Over the last years we have tattooed small slithering, non aggressive snakes more often than not, so having one looking fierce and menacing in a big scale and with a lot of black ink in it is kind of rare, contrary to believe.
"To me, the ugliest sight in the world is an empty dog dish!" Here we have a very popular comic character that keeps poping up on our customers Tattoo-wishlists, Snoopy! He is a nice candidate for a small, tiny tattoo due to his simple Design. Although going bigger like in this case never disappoints.
Yosemite Sam is a cartoon character in the Looney Tunes short films produced by Warner Bros. We have already done a few of the other characters from the show, but it's been a pleasure to get more of those funny guys inked under our customers skin. Definitely a more obscure picture with his harsh oldtimer, but a welcome one. "Say Your prayers, rabbit.” ~Yosemite Sam
“Take my man, stay away from my horse.” Sick cowgirl money heist tattoo. Old school but with more realistic shading and more detail overall. A few fine lines in between the bold ones to really set things of.
“Scratch a dog, and you’ll find a permanent job.” Another photorealistic dog for our returning customer. It's stunning how much detail you can pack in one tattoo. But here it definitely pays off! All those little hairs makes the fur feel fluffy just from looking at it. If interested in the other dog, check also: Photo realistic dog portrait ( 1 )
The continuation of our customer's horror sleeve! -This time Luca gave him a stunning tattoo of a woman floating in the abyss... Her hair flows like water, the dress sits tight on her body. Another great black and gray piece on the arm! Here you can really see the depth of the body. Also search for: Broken face : realism tattoo
“Water is the driving force of all nature.” Here is a nice design where a lot of parts of the nature found together for a beautiful familiy tattoo. Theres water, the driving force of all nature, a flower symbolic of all the flora and the shape of a turtle, symbolic of all the fauna on this planet. Theres nothing more amazing than nature it self.
This proud lion is the king of a full upper arm. The sketchy style is always interesting and visually stunning. You combine a tattoo with basically a sketch of the motive you want, wich makes it look more rough or playful, depending on how you use it. It's especially great for doing hairs and beards to give them more expression. On a lion it works perfectly, no doubt!
Here we have two Tattoos, a skull that goes into an anatomical heart and two legs poking up from under the skin. These Tattoos are small not tiny tho. They have nice clean lines, and a bit of black was used to give them more power. Overall two small funny tattoos.
If you know anime, you probably also know One-piece. Here's a tattoo of Nami, the navigator of the straw hat pirate crew! A nice approach with the shading for the 2D Character. On the far right you can already see the hairs of Nico Robin poking through. Keep checking out the News blog, here on the ChaosCrew Website for more OnePiece-Tattoos. This customer is getting a full sleeve with all of his faves.
I rang the fishing helpline today and said, "I'm rubbish at fishing, can you help me?" The guy said, "Can you hold the line?" I said, "No." ;) Well-rounded, funny, awsome tattoo. Smoking fish, but different. This one shines with its already amazing design, placement, colour fading/shading and of course the visually stunning primary colour contrast! It's just an absolute solid tattoo!
"Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good." This one is crazy! A customer once came to us and showed us the bad work of two people that tattooed her, on more or less the same spot ... What you see on the left is someones try to "cover" someone else's design. The panda came first the dog was second, and no, the yellow on the left is not painted on with markers, but was actually already tattooed in an attempt to cover the panda! Finally, our great tattoo-artist Luca Romeo got his hands on it and got rid of the panda, and on top of that, corrected the dogs face into a beautifully adorable one. Our customer was unbelievable happy, to finally have a quality tattoo under her skin!
Maori or Polynesian tattoos are often shown as ranging from lower arms to full sleeves or even body suits. But not everyone can or want to start with a full limb, so we always try to find a solution for those, that like the style but want something else. For instance a bracelet with patterns that are important for them, symbolising a strong family bond or strength. In this case we have an animal that our customer liked, that we designed to have Polynesian patterns inside that form the silhouette of the shark in a way that you can instantly tell what it is, but also keeping the style of the tattoo direction he liked. This one is professionally handcrafted, and our tattoo-artist Neumie even used a pattern to symbolise the teeth in the shark.
"Telling a teenager the facts of life is like giving a fish a bath." The detail in this tattoo is very well placed, all the white highlights are spot on, the softness of the fins and how they seem transparent are on point. It's crazy how you can pick out individual scales, due to the amazing skills of our artist Luca. If you want an appointment with him, just give us a call or visit us directly in the shop!
This fine line tattoo is for a very special one. The tattoo holds memories and got designed and tattooed with a lot of care. Like all of our tattoos it is always exactly the thing that the customers want, with every tattoo we give our best to craft you a beautiful and unique piece, just for you.
