Same arm, similar style, colourfull and a completely different outcome! Here we have an angel, dressed in black. The tears and the shading of the wings are both coloured in blue. The coloured shading, instead of the usual gray shading in the this design much more cartoony, this matches with the eyes. The girl is peeking out of some clouds wich makes the tattoo perfect for a gap filler.
An eye on the elbow is something you don't see every day. The tattoo got designed in an oldchool theme but not without exceptions. For instance the eye it self is not really old-school, nor is the frame. But overall it fits to the rest of the arm. Since it's not a coloured tattoo, it has to shine threw its shading and contrast. The eye it self is balanced in shading, but what aren't are the flowers, the empty space in them lets them pop out in front of the dark leaves surrounding them. Since the flower leaves are not coloured, they make the tattoo fade beautifully into the surrounding skin.
Here we have three different tattoos, that have a few similarities. On the top left we do have a little scripting "proud" and below it a diamond, it has fine lines and is relatively small in size. Next to it we have a nail in an old school style, similar in size but not in style, due to the thick lines and the deep black that got used to create that striking classic tattoo style. Below both of them we have a tattoo that is a bigger than both of them, but in the lineart / linework style, you can also say fineline style to it, but usually our customers think of something small, if they describe it as fine line art.
“Take my man, stay away from my horse.” Sick cowgirl money heist tattoo. Old school but with more realistic shading and more detail overall. A few fine lines in between the bold ones to really set things of.
This definitely meaningless tattoo features some nice solid colour, some good shading on the hands, clear white highlight line and a nice transition in th purple background. Call it "modern Old-school" design.
This old-school inspired tattoo got some pretty nice things to it. The clover is probably the most simple in this tattoo. The real star is the hand with its shading. Luca, the tattoo artist that tattooed this clean piece used a liner to create a shading made out of those small lines, for a very artistic effect.
Small but gold. This classic looking old-school panther tattoo is a nice reminder of the simple but effective shading techniques and colour choices. You can't go wrong with old school. Bold will hold!
“Don't spend your entire life building a ship, without ever tasting the salt of the ocean.” This oldschool ship got some pretty colours. The frame adds to the piece and makes for a perfect tattoo on the upper arm. The colours are used really effectively to set the scene. Light blue for the pretty ocean. You feel like they are cruising through the Caribbean with the morning sun in pastel red. There is a compass on top and a flower on the bottom of the frame. Both of them got integrated very nicely with patterns around them and some exotic plants, that fit the charm of the piece. Perfect example of a big olds chool tattoo.
A swallow bird can mean many things depending on a person’s cultural background. For ancient Greeks, these birds represent their goddess of love, namely, Aphrodite. The Greeks believed that swallows have the ability to bring love and happiness to a person. For the ancient Romans, they associate swallows as the embodiment of lost souls of children who died during childbirth. Lastly, for modern Christians, these birds mean rebirth or new beginnings. No matter the cultural meaning of these birds is, one can conclude that they symbolize a form of hope. This may be the reason why these birds are usually protected in the vast majority of cultures. Really nice example of an old school tattoo. Nice simple colours and great shading let this swallow stand out from the rest. Cute little tattoo on the shoulder. The lines are well done and have to be for a good minimalistic old school tattoo.
Moth medicine’s meaning is resurrection and transformation. A moth represents tremendous change, but it also seeks the light. Thus, moth spiritual meaning is to trust the changes that are happening and that freedom and liberation are around the corner. The moth got tattooed and drawn in an old school Design but with a not so common place. The simplistic design, the colour pallet and the overall shape are clean, simple but no doubt cool looking. The design features some pretty fine lines and mini details that are not expected in such a small old school piece.
"A ship without a harbor is lost at sea."
There aren't many things that get tattooed as often as an anchor. If you think about classic tattoos, the anchor jumps to everyone's mind. It's been tattooed for many, many years and will probably stay with us for many more. It stands for a lot of things. The anchor was chosen as it holds a ship in place, representing strength, security and safety. It's a symbol of hope.
